I am Sandra Patricia Solano, an optometrist graduated from La Salle University in Bogotá (1993). I completed a residency in Binocular Vision at the Pediatric Orthoptics Institute, where I gained extensive experience in managing children with visual problems.

I have worked on comprehensive health projects in communities in Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia, led by the Pan American Health Organization, which strengthened my vocation for service.

My education is complemented by studies in Epidemiology at Universidad del Rosario, which have allowed me to integrate research and clinical practice for the benefit of my patients.

​

Upon arriving in Canada, I had the opportunity to work alongside local optometrists, enriching my professional experience in a multicultural context. In 2010, I validated my degree at the University of Waterloo through the Bridging Program for Internationally Trained Optometrists, which enabled me to consolidate my clinical practice in this country.

Since then, I have dedicated myself with passion to serving the community, offering high-quality care with the highest standards of optometric practice. I remain in continuous professional development, completing update courses in all areas of optometry, with a special interest in natural health applied to the prevention of eye diseases and in supporting patients who have undergone conventional treatments.

Today, my mission is to combine advanced technology, clinical science, and a holistic approach to wellness, caring for my patients’ vision and promoting prevention as the foundation of a healthy life.
